I grew up, went to uni and started a career in advertising.

Over the past two years or so I've been logging in every few months to see what's doing. I kind of like how everything has changed, I see new layouts, a confusing groups system and perhaps most importantly; updates to the Emoticon Legend. I guess it's also a bit sad that everything has progressed and I haven't been a part of it. I suppose I'll continue to check back in every now and then.

Between my social life, my career, university and other commitments, I just lost the passion I once had for this place. But I love that it is still thriving.

But I need a favour from you all. It only takes a minute.

So I haven't been around in a while. Unfortunately over the past year deviantART has slowly become less and less a part of my life. I think I'm coming up to four years on this place. That's a long time.

However it was nice to log in and find three of my emoticons officially added to the Legend. Certainly, an update to the Legend has been a long time coming, but good to see things moving along and although I bitched about it a lot back in the day, you have to give cred where it's due to deviants like `mattdanna.

It appears you crazy kids that make up the emoticon community today are still thriving. Keep that up, I've heard it's a pretty rad crowd to be a part of.

At an unknown point in time the Emoticon Legend saw a new addition. Whilst it doesn't officially appear on the Legend it is still available for public use. The original artist is unknown and this takes the current total of "invisible" emoticons to thirty nine.

It doesn't appear on the Emoticon Legend but is still available for public use. A stupid fucking meme has been placed as a priority over the hard work the Emoticon Community put into #EmoticonHQ.

You've put Emoticon Legend updates on hold for over four years now. Except when you introduced emoticons when you wanted for your own personal benefit but finally you saw the light and established #EmoticonHQ. But this is beyond hypocritical, breaking community standards after they had been officially set. I understand if the project is on hold for greater things, but if it's on hold then it's on hold. Nothing should go through.

Double standards shouldn't exist in a community.

By uploading this as an official emoticon you're fucking over the emoticon community who put a lot of hard work into the gallery and the Legend.

Of course the irony is that today is supposedly Deviant Appreciation Day.
